God I Need You

GOD I NEED YOU

The moments used to pour like rain and there was nothing to slow the pace

For years sin held me in a deceptive state–believing I could do life on my own

Bolstered by the false security of having identity among men…until

A realization…a treasure revealed in your kindness–that what I called life did not have your light

That what I called living did not make it “your version of right”

That taking another step without you would be the worse mistake of my life…God I Need You!

My life moves now in a pattern etched by the voice of the ONLY One who knows my tomorrows

There’s an echo that draws my soul and spirit into places that only I can see

There’s a stillness…even in the midst of this hell around me that confounds the enemy

Strength  increases, Faith stiffens, Power has lifted my eyes, and Songs are R-I-S-I-N-G …

…glorious songs from lips that once spoke doubt–unsure that God was who He said He was…but I know better now…GOD I NEED YOU!

Peace flows in spite of the emptiness that others chase,

the vain offers for a taste of life’s choice wine……the arguments that others rail loudly in opposition–because I’m sure…

Save your empty chases for life’s sin–it’s missed targets

Save your contentious arguments…trying to convince me and others that God is not real…

There’s a voice that rises above yours and it is MINE…and it’s saying what counts now and counts tomorrow…

GOD I NEED YOU!!

Blessings,

Randy
